Chains with their own drivers cost less to deliver, so savings are smaller, but still real. Pizza stores also sometimes have carryout-only deals and coupons that are cheaper than ordering delivery, so the real gap can be bigger. The app taxes its fees too; Get Me Some taxes the food only.

Kenny plans a store run and lets neighbors within his chosen radius know. His name, photo and address stay private; they only see "Neighbor" and how far away he lives. Good to know.
Who can be a runner?
Any adult with an account, a confirmed home address and payouts set up. Runners are neighbors using the app, not employees, and they choose which requests to accept.
How much should I offer?
Whatever the errand is worth to you. Runners post a suggested fee, and you can offer more or less. They can accept, counter or decline.
What if the store is out of something?
When you order, you choose: a similar item is fine, skip it, or message me first. You're only charged for what's on the receipt.
What if the total is higher than I expected?
Your card is held for your estimate plus a 15% cushion. If the receipt comes in above that, or well above your estimate, you see the receipt photo and approve it before anything is charged.
Is there anything runners can't pick up?
Yes: no alcohol, tobacco or vaping products, prescriptions, weapons, or anything illegal or hazardous.
What if nobody is going where I need?
Post a request with the store, your items, your offer and when you need it, like "within 2 hours" or "tomorrow by noon." Neighbors nearby see it and can accept or counter any time before then. Nothing is held on your card until someone accepts.
What's a planned route?
A runner can post a regular drive, like heading home from work. You request a stop at a store on their way, and they decide if it fits. Their work address and route stay private.
Do runners pay out of pocket?
Briefly, yes: you pay at the register with your own money or card, just like a normal store trip. But the neighbor's card is held for the full amount before you shop, so the money is already set aside. Once their card is charged after delivery, we guarantee you're paid back for the items, plus your fee and any tip, even if they dispute the charge later. The only exceptions are rare cases where the order wasn't delivered as agreed, like items that never arrived or a receipt that doesn't match, which we review case by case. Your money is ready to cash out about 24 hours after delivery, plus your bank's transfer time.
When do runners get paid?
Earnings show up in their balance as soon as they deliver. About 24 hours later, if no problem was reported, they clear and can be cashed out to their bank anytime.
Is there a senior discount?
Yes. Once you verify your ID in the app and you're 65 or older, you get 33% off Get Me Some's fees for life: a 3.35% service fee instead of 5% when you order, and a 0.67% fee instead of 1% when you run errands. It's applied automatically.
When does a runner accept my request?
When they tap "I'll grab it," the price is agreed and your card is held. They accept the delivery when they pay at the store and upload the receipt. Until then they can drop it for free, and your hold is released right away.
Where is Get Me Some available?
We're starting with a few neighborhoods and opening more as neighbors join. Anyone can sign up; you'll see runs once neighbors near you post them.
Be one of the first neighbors on Get Me Some.
We're launching one neighborhood at a time, with 50 founding member spots per ZIP code. Once a ZIP code's spots are filled, new sign-ups there join the waitlist as regular members. Founding members get the app first, help us test it with real runs, and make sure their neighbors find a busy, friendly app on day one.
What you get
- A "Founding Member" badge on your profile, for good.
- 33% off all fees for life: a 3.35% service fee instead of 5% when you order, and a 0.67% runner fee instead of 1% when you run errands.
- Early access: you get the app before your neighborhood opens to everyone.
- A direct line to us: tell us what to fix or build, and try new features first.
- A say in what comes next, like which stores and neighborhoods we add.

Regarding Prop 22
What Prop 22 is
Proposition 22 is a California law, passed by voters in 2020, for app-based delivery and rideshare companies. It lets those companies work with drivers as independent contractors, as long as the company provides certain protections: pay of at least 120% of the minimum wage for the time a driver spends on a delivery, an amount per mile driven, health care subsidies for drivers who work enough hours, accident insurance, background checks and safety training.
That makes sense for people who drive for delivery apps as a job: they wait for orders, drive across town for strangers, and depend on that work for a living.
Why Get Me Some is different
Get Me Some is in no way meant to be a job or a steady income. It's neighbors helping neighbors, and getting a little extra cash for trips they were already making.
- The trips were already happening. A runner is a neighbor who was going to the store anyway. Nobody is sent out on a trip they wouldn't otherwise make.
- It takes minutes, not hours. Grabbing a few extra items usually adds a few minutes at the store and a short walk across the street.
- Neighbors set the price. Each neighbor offers what the errand is worth to them, and the runner decides whether to accept or counter. There are no shifts, no waiting for orders, and no penalty for saying no.
- It's neighbors helping neighbors. Runners and the people they help live a few doors apart, and many end up as friends.
We'll follow the law
We're getting advice from California counsel on how Prop 22 applies to neighbor-to-neighbor errands, and we'll meet whatever rules apply before we launch in California. If that means paying runners more, we will.
Our hope for California
We hope California lawmakers will see neighborly errands like these as good for everyone:
- Fewer car trips: less traffic, less gas burned and less pollution.
- Help for older neighbors and anyone who can't easily get to the store.
- Lower costs: store prices and small fees instead of delivery-app markups.
- A little extra money for neighbors who were going anyway.
- Stronger neighborhoods, where people know each other.
We'd welcome a clear definition in California law for occasional, neighbor-to-neighbor errands on trips people were already making, kept separate from full-time delivery work, so that services like ours can grow while delivery drivers keep the protections they count on.

Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Get Me Some LLC ("Get Me Some," "we," "us"). They apply to the Get Me Some apps and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. What Get Me Some is
Get Me Some is a platform that connects neighbors. A neighbor who is already going to a store, or driving a planned route ("Runner"), can pick up items for other neighbors nearby ("Neighbors"). Get Me Some is not a store, a delivery company or a transportation provider. We don't buy, sell, handle or deliver items. Runners are independent users of the Service, not our employees, agents or contractors, and they decide which requests to accept.
3. Who can use the Service
- You must be at least 18 years old and live in the United States.
- You must give accurate information, including your name and home address, and keep it up to date. We may confirm your address with your device's location.
- You may have only one account, and you're responsible for everything done with it.
- We may limit, suspend or close accounts to keep the Service safe or to comply with law.
4. How orders work
- Open requests. A Neighbor may also post a request (a store, items, an offer and a deadline) that Runners nearby can accept or counter before the deadline. Once accepted, it works like any other order.
- Requests and offers. A Neighbor sends a Runner a list of items, an estimated price for each, a substitution preference and an offer for the Runner's services. The Runner may accept, counter or decline. A Neighbor may accept a counteroffer, counter again or cancel.
- Card holds. When an offer is accepted, we place a temporary authorization ("hold") on the Neighbor's card for the estimated items plus a 15% cushion, the service fee and the agreed offer.
- Accepting a delivery. When a Runner taps "I'll grab it," the price is agreed and the hold is placed, but the Runner accepts the delivery only when they pay for the items at the store and upload the receipt. Until then the Runner may drop the request at no cost, and the hold is released.
- Charges. After picking up the items, the Runner uploads a photo of the receipt and the receipt total. After delivery, the Neighbor's card is charged once: the receipt total (including any sales tax the store charged), plus the service fee, the agreed offer and any tip the Neighbor adds. If the Neighbor doesn't add a tip within 2 hours of delivery, the card is charged without one. Any unused part of the hold is released.
- Amounts above the hold. If the receipt total is more than the hold allows, or far above the estimate, the Neighbor must approve the amount before it is charged. Any amount above the hold is a separate charge to the Neighbor's card.
- Cancellations. Either person may cancel an accepted order before the receipt is charged; the hold is then released.
5. Fees, tips and taxes
- Service fee. Neighbors pay a service fee of 5% of the receipt total on each order.
- Runner fee. Get Me Some keeps 1% of the receipt total plus the agreed offer from the Runner's earnings for each order.
- Founding member discount. Founding member status is limited to 50 people per ZIP code, based on the home address on the account, and is offered first come, first served. Founding members get 33% off the service fee and the runner fee (a 3.35% service fee and a 0.67% runner fee) for as long as they keep their account. Discounts don't combine; if more than one applies, you get the larger one.
- Senior discount. Users who have completed ID verification and are 65 or older get 33% off the service fee and the runner fee (a 3.35% service fee and a 0.67% runner fee). The discount applies automatically once verification confirms your age, and we intend to keep it for as long as we offer the Service.
- Tips. Tips are optional and can be added in the app before the order is charged, or given in cash. Runners receive 100% of tips added in the app. A tip can't be changed after the order is charged.
- Taxes. Sales tax on items is charged by the store and appears on the receipt. Where required, we may collect tax on our fees. Runners are responsible for any taxes on their earnings.
- We may change our fees with notice. Fees shown in the app at the time of an order apply to that order.
6. Payments, earnings and cash-outs
Runner payment guarantee. Runners pay for items at the store themselves and are paid back through the Service. Once a Neighbor's card has been charged for an order, Get Me Some guarantees the Runner's earnings for that order (the receipt total and agreed offer, minus the runner fee, plus any tip added in the app), even if the Neighbor later disputes the charge. This guarantee does not apply where the order was not completed as agreed, for example items not delivered, items that don't match the receipt, or a receipt that is altered or reused. We review those cases individually and may withhold or reverse earnings for that order.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By using the Service you also agree to Stripe's terms that apply to you, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement for Runners. A Runner's earnings for an order (receipt total and agreed offer, minus the 1% fee, plus tips) appear in the Runner's balance at delivery and can be cashed out about 24 hours after delivery, unless a problem has been reported. Runners can cash out their available balance to their bank account at any time. Stripe may require identity and tax information before paying out.
7. Runner responsibilities
- Follow all laws, including traffic laws, and carry the insurance your state requires for your vehicle.
- Buy only the items requested (or allowed substitutes), pay for them yourself at the store, and upload a true, unaltered photo of the receipt.
- Handle food and other items with reasonable care and deliver them promptly.
- Never use a Neighbor's address or information for anything other than the delivery.
8. Neighbor responsibilities
- Describe items accurately and give honest price estimates.
- Keep a valid payment method on file, and be available to receive your delivery or leave clear instructions.
- Review and respond to approval requests promptly.
9. Items that aren't allowed
You may not request or deliver alcohol; tobacco, nicotine or vaping products; prescription medications; firearms, ammunition or weapons; illegal drugs or items; hazardous materials; or anything a store will not sell to the Runner.
10. Problems, refunds and disputes between users
If something goes wrong, use Report a problem in the app. Reporting pauses the Runner's earnings for that order while we review it. We compare the receipt photo, the charge and the messages and may refund the Neighbor some or all of the order, or adjust the Runner's earnings. Our decision on a report is final as between users, but it doesn't limit any legal rights you have.
11. ID verification
You may choose to verify your identity. Verification is performed by our provider, Stripe Identity, using a photo of your ID and a selfie. A verified badge means the check succeeded at that time; it is not a background check or a guarantee about a person.
12. Conduct and content
Be respectful. No harassment, discrimination, threats, fraud, spam or misuse of other people's information. You keep ownership of the photos, messages and other content you submit, and you give us a license to store, display and use it to run, protect and improve the Service.
13. Ending your account
You can close your account at any time from the app or by contacting us; any available balance can be cashed out first. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or create risk for others.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that any request will be accepted, that items will be available, or that the Service will be uninterrupted. Users are responsible for their own conduct. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties not stated in these Terms.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, Get Me Some is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the conduct of users. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 6 months before the claim or $100. [Lawyer to confirm.]
16. Disputes with us
These Terms are governed by the laws of [State]. [Lawyer to choose: courts in a named county, or individual arbitration with a small-claims option and a class-action waiver.]
17. Changes
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new Terms.

Privacy Policy
The short version
- We collect what the app needs to connect neighbors, take payments and keep people safe.
- Until an offer between you is accepted, other users see you only as "Neighbor", whether you're ID verified, and how far away you live. Your first name, last initial and photo are shown only after you accept each other's offer. Never your street, address or phone number. Your full address goes only to a runner who has accepted your request, and a runner's vehicle is shown only to neighbors whose request they've accepted.
- Your saved places, like Work, are never shown to anyone.
- We don't sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email address, phone number (optional), profile photo (optional) and delivery vehicle make and model (optional).
- Order texts (optional): if you choose order updates by text instead of notifications, we confirm your mobile number with a code and use it only to text you about your orders, through our provider Twilio. Never ads. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop at any time, or turn texts off in your account.
- Home address and location: your home address and its coordinates, confirmed once with your device's location. We don't track your location in the background.
- Saved places: addresses you save, such as work, for planned routes.
- Orders and runs: stores, items, price estimates, offers, receipt totals, receipt photos, delivery status, ratings, tips and problem reports, including any photos you attach.
- Messages you send to other users in the app.
- Payment information: handled by Stripe. We receive your card brand and last four digits, not your full card number. For runners, Stripe collects bank and tax details for payouts.
- ID verification: if you choose to verify, Stripe Identity processes your ID photo and selfie. We receive only the result (verified or not). We don't store your ID images.
- Device information: a push notification token, app version, device type and basic usage and error logs.
How we use it
- To show you runs from nearby neighbors and alert neighbors about your runs.
- To send push notifications. Notifications must be on to send offers or accept runs, and then we only send updates about your orders. Alerts about neighbors' trips are sent only if you turn them on, and you can turn them off anytime.
- To process holds, charges, tips, earnings and cash-outs.
- To suggest prices and estimate miles not driven, using receipt totals from past orders. Price suggestions show item prices only, never who bought what.
- To prevent fraud, check receipts, review problem reports and enforce our Terms.
- To provide support and send service messages.
What other users see
- Everyone near you: "Neighbor", your ID-verified badge, how far away you live (not where), and the runs and requests you post (store or "heading home from work", never addresses). Not your name or photo.
- Someone you've accepted an offer with (either side): your first name, last initial and profile photo.
- Neighbors whose request you've accepted: your delivery vehicle make and model, if you added one, so they know which car to look for.
- A runner you've ordered from: your list, offer and distance from their home. Your full address and unit are shown only after they accept, so they can deliver.
- The other person on an order: messages, the receipt photo and the receipt total.
Who we share it with
- Stripe for payments, payouts and ID verification.
- Service providers that host and run the app on our behalf, such as our database and hosting provider (Supabase), push notification delivery (Expo, Apple and Google) and, if enabled, an online price lookup provider that receives item names only.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of users and the public.
- Business transfers: if Get Me Some is merged or acquired, subject to this policy.
We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open. We keep order, payment and receipt records for [7] years for tax, accounting and dispute purposes, then delete or anonymize them. Messages are kept for [2] years after the order. Deleted photos are removed from our storage.
Your choices and rights
- Edit your details, photo, vehicle and saved places in the app at any time.
- Turn alerts off, change your alert radius or set quiet hours.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or delete your account, by contacting [email protected]. Some records may be kept where the law requires it.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. [Lawyer to add any state-specific sections required.]
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited by database security rules, and card and ID details are handled by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique email account and tell us if you suspect misuse.
Children
Get Me Some is only for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we make material changes, we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
